What is the best book to start martial arts?

I don’t have a dojo near me, nor a clear area around my computer for viedos. I want to start an exotic martial arts such as Brazilian or something such as that. Mixed martial arts sounds cool too. What’s the best you can suggest?

so many arts out there. Really hard to pick…

1. want a striking/grappling/throwing art?
2. body type (I always said this to be key because not all body types are equal)
3. for sport or for just fun??

it sounds like you are leaning to more of a grappling art. There is always jiujitsu and aikido. If you have nothing near, aikido is supposed to be an easy art to learn. But, it has been historically said its a defensive art. I say narrow it down a little bit more. Maybe study the historical references to that art. Maybe in the future you can move to a place where those arts are prevalent and are taught.

Or sometimes called the “covering card” in a tarot reading? Does it depend on the persons zodiac sign who you are doing the reading for??

The significator is not the same as the covering card. The cover goes on top of the significator.

There are many ways to choose the significator. If the person has asked for a general life reading, without having a particular question, you might use The Fool.

If they have expressed a general topic, you’d use one of the court cards corresponding to their gender and age. Wands for a male asking a more spiritual question; cups for a female. Then swords for a male asking a more materialistic question, or pentacles for a female. If the question is more specific as to topic, use wands for magic or male sexuality, cups for matters of emotions, swords for intellect, and pentacles for material. Use king or queen for a mature adult, knight for a male youth, page for a female youth.

Right now i am suffering from way low self esteem. I hate how i look. I feel so ugly and i keep trying to like”fix it” though is all genetic. I can’t help it i just feel ugly. I try to tell myself that i am not but i just feel worse.Ant advice?

seek counseling. It’s deeper than how you look genetically. A therapist can get to the root of your problem.

The main newspaper for the city I live in only shows the ones for 1999 and up online.

I’ve found several, but it would really help to know what city and state we’re talking about here.

I’ve found obits at www.findagrave.com, at www.usgenweb.org (drill down to the state and county and see what they’ve got listed — if not listed, look for Look-Up volunteers on the pages for that county and request help), on local historical society websites, on family websites and forums (try http://genforum.genealogy.com and search or post a query under the surname and/or location you’re looking for), etc.

I’ve even done some creative Googling to find out if the obit is online, such as:
“smith, jane” topeka obit
“jane smith” topeka
“smith, jane” shawnee county
“jane smith” kansas
“smith, jane” obit [i use "obit" to catch obituary, obituaries, obits, etc.]
“smith jane” death topeka

I hope this gives you some new paths to try, good luck!

Im wondering.. is there any software or tool (web based or otherwise) that helps and streamlines the whole technical and functional specification writing process so that we as developers/website can sit with clients, assess what they want to create/achieve and write up the spec efficiently and easily so that when its approved it can easily be passed onto the webdev people and they can create what is set out in the specification?

I was also interested in finding out if The Art Institute Online is really considered one of the great schools for careers in the arts? You know.. does the name look very good on an application?

u could ask Vince Mcmahon, jokes, u could start off very exclusive, wrestle somewhere and record yourself without a live audience, put your videos on the internet and then check for responses, let ppl tell u if they are interested and where to go, then everything will fall in place, dont just start off with a live audience
